He Sees. He Hears. He Loves.

There are moments in life when we feel like we’ve hit the end of the road - when the weight we’re carrying feels unbearable and the silence from heaven feels louder than ever. A dear friend of mine was in one of those places. I could hear it in her voice as we spoke on the phone - an ache deep in her soul, weary from walking through a difficult, ongoing situation. She had reached another breaking point.

I listened, encouraged her the best I could, and reminded her she wasn’t alone. But after we hung up, I felt the Holy Spirit nudge me: Do more. So I did something small - a same-day delivery of an Edible Arrangement. Just a little something to brighten her day. When I went to write the message to go along with it, I didn’t overthink it. A verse came so clearly to my heart that I wrote it down without hesitation:

Isaiah 43:4 Bible verse reminding believers of God’s deep love and value.

Later that evening, my friend received the gift - and when she read the verse on the note, she burst into tears. What I didn’t know was that, earlier that day, she had cried out to God. She was missing her grandfather deeply - a man who had been her spiritual anchor, a former pastor who guided her with wisdom and love. She had told the Lord, “I just wish Grandpa was still here. I need that comfort again.”

The verse I had written? Isaiah 43:4?

It was her grandpa’s favorite verse. The one he had spoken of often. The one place in Scripture he treasured most, because it says plainly, “I love you.”

I didn’t know. But God did.

He heard her. He saw her. And through a simple act of obedience - writing down a verse I thought was random - He whispered to her: “I see you. I hear you. I love you.”

Friend, this is the ripple effect of the Holy Spirit. When our hearts are still, we begin to see the gentle waves of His presence in our lives. He is near to the brokenhearted. He responds in ways we could never orchestrate ourselves. And sometimes, He uses us - imperfect but willing - as vessels of His perfect timing and love.

So today, if you’re weary, crying out, or simply wondering if He notices - take heart.

 He does.

He sees. He hears. He loves.
